Sharks Stadium
Sharks Stadium is the home ground of the Cronulla Sharks. It was purpose built for NRL matches in 1960 and last upgraded in 2006.
The Sharks are spurred on at the iconic suburban venue by the passionate fans that routinely pack the stands and hill.
Due to the impacts of construction in the precinct, the capacity of Sharks Stadium is currently reduced to approximately 13,500, making becoming a ticketed Member even more important.
As well as being the home of top-flight rugby league, Sharks Stadium has also played host to football, the Trans-Tasman Touch Championships and many other sporting and community events.
History
Originally recognised as Endeavour Field, Sharks Stadium has experienced a number of naming rights partners over the time of its existence. The ground was believed to be the first Australian sports venue to hold a naming rights partner when known as Ronson Park in 1985.
The name was the first of many to follow, including Caltex Park, Shark Park (/Stadium 2013), Toyota Park (Stadium 2009-2011), Remondis Stadium (2013-2015) and PointsBet Stadium (2019-2024).
The Sharks are currently looking for a new naming rights partner ahead of season 2025.
Atmosphere
Recognised in the independent EY Sweeney report (November 2015) for the NRL as offering the best atmosphere in the competition, the Stadium was also ranked best for value of food and beverage, number '1' for sense of occasion, and voted in the top three for pre-game and half-time entertainment.
