At long last, Berrell made a richly deserved NRL debut in 2024 at age 29 in a reward for his persistence and determination. The talented hooker also played a pivotal role in a premiership for the Newtown Jets, earning a spot in the NSW Cup Team of the Year. Having inked a new one-year contract, he'll again be ready if called upon by coach Craig Fitzgibbon in 2025.
