The Sharks were run down late in a heartbreaker in Canberra while the Sea Eagles were run over by a red-hot Storm outfit in a Sunday afternoon blitz at Brookvale.

This week the two sides lick their wounds and travel to the other side of the country as Act One in the double-header at the magnificent Optus Stadium in Perth.

With fine weather and a fast track predicted, both sides will be keen to put on a show for the locals as they unleash the likes of Will Kennedy, Jesse Ramien, Lehi Hopoate and Tolu Koula.

The Sea Eagles average a tick under 30 points per game and the Sharks 22 so scoring tries won't be the issue, rather it's defence that will be keeping coaches Seibold and Fitzgibbon awake at night.

Team News

Sharks: Teig Wilton (illness) and Siosifa Talakai (concussion) are back on deck for the trip to Perth. Billy Burns drops to the reserves list and Tuku Hau Tapuha goes to 18th man. No late changes for Cronulla, with Billy Burns the 18th man.

Sea Eagles: A change on Friday with Tommy Talau coming in on the wing for his first game of the season and Jason Saab dropping out after failing to recover from an ankle sprain suffered against the Storm. Prop Josh Aloiai is good to go after missing Round 5 with a shoulder injury so Toafofoa Sipley moves to the bench after being a late call-up to start the game last Sunday. Interchange forward Corey Waddell will miss two games for a Careless High Tackle. No further changes in Saturday's final team update, with Aaron Schoupp remaining in the squad as 18th man.
