Sharks second-rower Teig Wilton will miss Thursday night's game against the Raiders at GIO Stadium with illness, resulting in a call-up for Billy Burns.

While Burns moves from the extended interchange to the run-on side, reserves Jayden Berrell and Chris Vea'ila join Wilton in being omitted from the 24-hour squad.

Utility forward Hohepa Puru is now the 18th man, with Jesse Colquhon also remaining in the squad as cover.

Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon has named his squad for Thursday night's Round 5 clash with the Raiders at GIO Stadium.

Mawene Hiroti is listed at centre for his first NRL match of the year, replacing the injured Kayal Iro (hamstring). Prop Tom Hazelton is set to return from a back issue on the bench, offsetting the loss of Siosifa Talakai (concussion protocols).

There are no other changes to the team that lost to the Bulldogs last week.

Thursday night's match marks the start of NRL Multicultural Round, with Cronulla looking to extend their season record to 3-2. Kick-off is at 8pm AEDT.
