Cronulla have finalised their team to face the Rabbitohs in today's Round 3 clash at Sharks Stadium, making no changes to the 17.

Hohepa Puru remains the 18th man as a potential concussion sub, with Jayden Berrell dropping out of the extended squad ahead of kick-off at 3pm AEDT.

Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon has reduced his squad to 19 ahead of tomorrow afternoon's home opener against the Rabbitohs.

There are no major changes 24 hours from kick off, with Billy Burns, Mawene Hiroti and Niwhai Puru dropping off the extended bench.

The trio is named to play for the Newtown Jets against South Sydney in the curtain-raising NSW Cup game at Sharks Stadium.

Hohepa Puru has replaced Burns as the 18th man.

Fitzgibbon confirmed in his media conference on Friday morning that halfback Nicho Hynes is a certain starter after shaking off a corked leg.

Saturday's match is slated to start at 3pm AEDT. While general public allocation has been exhausted, there's still a chance to secure a ticket through the Member Seat Resale option by staying tuned to the Ticketek page.

After a strong win in Townsville, the Sharks are set to take an unchanged team into a blockbuster opening home game against the Rabbitohs on Saturday afternoon.

Coach Craig Fitzgibbon has entrusted the 17 players who defeated the Cowboys 36-12 to do the job again this weekend at Sharks Stadium.

Prop Tuku Hau Tapuha has retained his place on the bench, with fellow front-rower Tom Hazelton (back soreness) left out of the 22-man squad.

A capacity crowd is expected for the Round 3 clash as the Sharks aim to snap South Sydney's perfect start to the season under Wayne Bennett.

It's bound to be a memorable day at Sharks Stadium with Jersey Flegg and Knock-On Effect NSW Cup matches preceding the 3pm NRL fixture.
