On the eve of a new season, international prop Oregon Kaufusi has pledged his long-term future to the Sharks by inking a two-year extension.
The five-time Samoa representative will remain a key part of the black, white and blue engine room until at least the end of 2027.
Kaufusi was a model of consistency last year, featuring in all but one game to help Cronulla advance deep into the finals.
The 25-year-old, who signed on for 2025 in November, has played 45 of his 116 NRL matches for the Sharks since joining the club two years ago.
"It's awesome. I feel like we've got something special building at this club and I'm very excited to be part of it," Kaufusi said.
"I've built a strong connection in the Shire. My daughter was born at Sutherland, so this area is very special to me now.
"I'm hoping to level up again in 2025 and add a few things to my game."
Sharks General Manager Football Darren Mooney said: "We always wanted to secure Oregon long term and were confident in getting the deal done. It's great news that he's decided to extend his stay for another two years.
"Oregon is still young, especially for a front-rower, and is coming off an outstanding season. He's a no-fuss character who brings significant value to the squad."
Kaufusi's CV includes NRL grand final and World Cup final appearances. The Auckland-born forward averaged 88 metres and 23 tackles per match in 2024 while also producing the second-most offloads in the team with 32.
