International forward Vanessa Foliaki will continue to bring leadership and muscle to the Sharks pack after signing on for the 2025 NRLW season.
The 31-year-old's new deal also includes a mutual option for 2026.
Foliaki, who captained Tonga at last year's Pacific Championships and has twice represented NSW at State of Origin level, played all 11 games in 2024 including the grand final loss to the Roosters.
A foundation player for the Sharks in 2023, Foliaki has notched up 20 of her 38 NRLW matches in black, white and blue.
"It means a lot. It's a club that I've grown to love over the last couple of seasons and I just couldn't see myself playing for anyone else," Foliaki said.
"I love working under Tony Herman – he's such a great coach – and the people around him as well. I really love being part of the Shire.
"It's really exciting, especially seeing the re-signing of a lot of our players. We've lost a few, but to see the majority of the girls coming back, we're definitely looking to go one better this year.
"We've lost a couple of our experienced middles, so I definitely need to step up there, lead where I can and show my experience where it's needed."
NRLW head coach Tony Herman said: "We're delighted that Vanessa has re-signed. Her experience, professionalism and toughness are major assets for our squad.
"Vanessa has played at the highest levels and continues to perform at an elite standard. Above all, she's an outstanding person and a valuable mentor for our younger players."
Having featured in four grand finals across her NRLW career, dating back to 2018, Foliaki believes the Sharks are on the cusp of a premiership.
"It was our first time playing in the semi finals and then getting to the grand final last year, so the girls will have a lot more experience in that arena," she said.
"We'll be a lot more equipped."
