Coming off a Grand Final appearance, there's every reason for the Sharks to be optimistic about the 2025 NRLW season. Check out the numbers and facts you need to know about next year's draw.
No place like home
Kicking off in July, the Sharks will host five NRLW games at Sharks Stadium as they aim to use this year's heartbreak as a springboard to a maiden premiership.
Among these fixtures are three enticing standalone clashes against the Eels (Round 1), Cowboys (Round 3) and Wests Tigers (Round 4).
Days between games
Five-day turnarounds: 1 (NRL average: 0.3)
Six-day turnarounds: 2 (NRL average: 2.5)
Seven-plus-day turnarounds: 7 (NRL average: 7.3)
Cronulla's lone five-day turnaround will come ahead of their Thursday night Grand Final rematch against the Roosters in Round 11 after facing the Bulldogs.
Overall they'll be well rested, with at least a week to prepare for most games.
Game days
Thursday: 2 (1 home, 1 away)
Saturday: 6 (2 home, 4 away)
Sunday: 3 (2 home, 1 away)
Like their NRL counterparts, the Sharks women will be most active on Saturdays, though they'll bookend the regular season with Thursday night matches.
On the road
Distance travelled:Â 4,727km (NRL average: 9,461km)
Trips to Canberra (Round 2) and New Zealand (Round 8) aside, the Sharks won't need to leave New South Wales throughout the regular season.
Tony Herman's troops will meet the Broncos in Newcastle during Magic Round and host fellow Queenslanders the Cowboys and Titans at Sharks Stadium.
Back-end blockbusters
The draw is littered with highlights, but Cronulla's run home is particularly stacked. After facing the Warriors across the ditch in Round 8, they'll return home to tackle the Knights as star recruit Caitlan Johnston-Green meets her former club.
The Sharks will then take on a new Bulldogs team containing familiar faces Tayla Preston, Holli Wheeler, Andie Robinson and Tegan Dymock at Accor Stadium.
Capping off the regular season, the playoffs are set to arrive a week early as Cronulla clash with the Roosters for the first time since the Grand Final.
If the Sharks can navigate this period successfully, they'll be set up for a title tilt.
Double-header delight
The girls in the black, white and blue will share the stage with their NRL offsiders as part of three cracking double-headers pencilled in throughout 2025.
Tiana Penitani, Emma Verran, Quincy Dodd and co. will lead the Sharks in the first of two Indigenous Round tussles with the Dragons on August 9 at Kogarah.
Cronulla's women will thrive off the local support as they round out their home season with must-watch double-headers against the Titans and Knights.
