Sharks heading west for bumper Optus Stadium clash in '25

The awe-inspiring Optus Stadium will transform into Perth's very own Shark Tank next year when Cronulla host the Sea Eagles as part of a blockbuster NRL double-header on Saturday, April 12.

Having first played at the 60,000-seat venue as the away team in 2023 – beating the Rabbitohs 26-16 – the Sharks are excited to return to Western Australia as the home side.

South Sydney and the Cowboys will also face off in the Round 6 WA extravaganza, with the Cronulla-Manly clash up first at 1pm local time (3pm AEST).

With strong local interest and travel packages to accommodate interstate fans, the Sharks are keen to embed themselves in the Perth community as they take the famous 'Battle of the Beaches' to the banks of the picturesque Swan River.

The Sharks are offering Country Interstate WA Memberships which include all the Sharks Member benefits and guarantee entry to the Optus Stadium double-header – CLICK HERE to sign up.

A ticketing pre-sale for club Members will commence at 6am AEDT on Monday, December 2, with tickets open to the general public at 7am AEDT the following day. Stay tuned to Sharks media channels and Ticketmaster for full details.

"This is a wonderful opportunity to play at a state-of-the-art venue and build our brand and fanbase in WA, where we already enjoy terrific support," Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta said.

"From kicking off the season in Las Vegas to this epic double-header in Perth, the Sharks will be front and centre of some of the most anticipated events on the 2025 NRL calendar."

NRL head coach Craig Fitzgibbon added: "We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of playing at Optus Stadium in 2023 and can't wait to get back there as hosts this time.

"It's one of the most impressive venues anywhere in the world, and we look forward to packing it out with a sea of black, white and blue."

Optus Stadium CEO Mike McKenna said: "The Sharks were a big hit when they played here in 2023 and we look forward to sharing some more of Western Australia with Sharks fans when they return in April.

"With a crowd in excess of 50,000 expected, Sharks fans who make the trip are guaranteed an amazing experience at the event, and discovering a little piece of Western Australia."

There's no shortage of unforgettable tourist attractions to enthral Sharks fans visiting Perth.

Optus Stadium's unique offerings include a range of incredible rooftop tours and experiences such as watching some of the NRL action from the highest seats in the house.

For the adrenaline seekers, strap on a harness and hang out a dizzying 42 metres above the ground with no handrail while taking in spectacular views of the stadium and city skyline.

The huge stadium precinct contains a host of bars, cafes and restaurants, while the adjacent parklands along the Swan River are packed with captivating natural beauty and wildlife.

Opened in 2018, Optus Stadium was voted as the world's most beautiful stadium at the 2019 Prix Versailles International Architecture Awards. Renowned for its fans-first approach in design and technology, the multi-purpose venue will also host State of Origin II in June.
