The Sharks careered away with a 28-6 win last time they hosted Craig Bellamy's side in what was coach Craig Fitzgibbon's first year at the helm.

The last home game of the regular season promises to be a cracker.

As they did this year, the NRL and NRLW Sharks will be gunning to defeat the Knights on the same day. Cronulla's men toppled Newcastle in a heart-stopping 19-18 triumph courtesy of a Daniel Atkinson field goal when they last met.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS: Round 9 v Eels at Suncorp Stadium (Magic Round), Round 15 local derby v Dragons at Sharks Stadium.

NRLW

Sharks v Eels, Round 1, Sharks Stadium

The girls in the black, white and blue kick off with a standalone match at home against an Eels side who pushed them all the way when they clashed this year.

Momentum is key in the 11-round women's competition, so coach Tony Herman will hope his team can harness the local support and hit the ground running.

Sharks v Broncos, Round 5, McDonald Jones Stadium

It's arguably the highlight of the inaugural NRLW Magic Round: the Sharks and Broncos renewing their rivalry after Cronulla's stunning 14-0 semi-final victory.

That match marked the first time Brisbane had been held to nil in their proud NRLW history as the Sharks advanced to the decider in just their second season.

Cronulla will be hellbent on asserting their dominance and proving it was no fluke.

Sharks v Titans, Round 7, Sharks Stadium

Sharks Stadium will be rocking when Cronulla face the Titans in a bumper double-header featuring the same NRL teams in Indigenous Round.

Indigenous stars including Quincy Dodd, Rhiannon Byers and Jada Taylor are poised to wow the home crowd against an exciting Gold Coast outfit.

Sharks v Bulldogs, Round 10, Accor Stadium

Grand Final teammates will become on-field enemies as the Sharks front up for the first time against a Bulldogs side containing familiar faces Tayla Preston, Holli Wheeler, Tegan Dymock and Andie Robinson at Homebush.

Friendships will be set aside in the battle for two vital points late in the season.

Sharks v Roosters, Round 11, TBA

The Sharks will have to wait until the final round of the regular season to get another crack at the Roosters after their heartbreaking 32-28 Grand Final loss.

If the spellbinding drama of that match is any guide – Cronulla fought back from 24-0 down at half-time in a jaw-dropping resurgence – we're in for another classic.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS: Round 3 v Cowboys at Sharks Stadium, Round 8 v Warriors at Go Media Stadium.
