Exclusive naming rights to Sharks Stadium now available

The Cronulla Sharks have announced the exclusive naming rights partnership for their stadium is now officially available.

Sharks Stadium, located in Sydney's south and surrounded by a new billion-dollar residential, retail and dining precinct, presents a unique and valuable year-round brand and marketing platform.

The Sharks have just completed one of their most successful seasons on record, qualifying for the finals in four grades, including an NRL prelim after maintaining a top four position all season and an NRLW Grand Final berth in only their second year in the competition. The club achieved record membership and sold out most of its NRL home games.

In 2024, the team also ranked fifth in the NRL for Gross Domestic TV Viewership* (Channel 9, FOX Sports, Kayo) with a 24% year-on-year increase. The total Sharks QI (Quality Index) Media Value increased 29% compared to the prior season. The Sharks were also one of four teams selected to take centre stage internationally for the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership season opener in Las Vegas.

The naming rights to Sharks Stadium have become available with the conclusion of the six-year deal with ASX-listed betting agency PointsBet. PointsBet are set to enter a new category exclusive partnership with the Sharks to suit their new marketing strategy, brought about by the changing regulatory environment around gambling advertising. PointsBet CEO Andrew Catterall previously commented on their highly successful stadium naming rights partnership which "delivered valuable brand exposure and return on investment to our business".

Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta said: "The naming rights to Sharks Stadium present a prime opportunity to engage millions of fans through live sport, entertainment, and hospitality. It has proven to deliver high-value brand exposure to local and national audiences, including through multiple NRL broadcast partners and growing visitation in a thriving year-round precinct.

"This is a great time to be partnering with the Sharks and our success this season has set a solid platform for continued growth in 2025 and beyond. The NRL continues to achieve growth across its key performance metrics including attendance, viewership, and brand health. We are confident of attracting a new profiled brand to take over the exclusive naming rights to Sharks Stadium."

As part of their high-impact commercial assets, the Sharks have also released to market their NRL and NRLW front of shorts partnership. On-field signage is also available for season '25.

Sharks Stadium is home to the Sharks' NRL and NRLW teams and presents up to 51 events a year spanning Sharks NRL and NRLW home games, Junior Rugby League, and an array of special community and corporate events. It is positioned in the heart of an expanding 365-day entertainment and lifestyle precinct, bolstered by the recent openings of the Bay Central Woolooware retail and dining destination, the Quest Apartment Hotel, and sold-out Bayview Residential Apartments.
