Wheeler accepts one-match NRLW ban

Experienced Sharks forward Holli Wheeler will miss Sunday's semi-final against the Broncos in Brisbane after taking the early guilty plea for a Grade 2 careless high tackle charge.

The prop was sin-binned in the first half of last Thursday's loss to the Wests Tigers for a shot on Sarah Togatuki.

Despite it being the first offence of this nature on her record, Wheeler faced a two-week suspension if she challenged at the judiciary and lost.

She will be available if the Sharks advance to the grand final.
