Tom Hazelton might claim to be a halfback in a prop's body after sealing the VB Hard Earned Moment of the Match against Manly with a beautiful pass to set up fellow Sharks forward Jack Williams.

Renowned for bending opposition defences with his 198cm, 116kg frame, Hazelton showed there's ample skill to go with his strength when he tipped on perfectly to send Williams screaming through a gap for a try under the posts.

It was a crucial moment in the Round 27 contest at 4 Pines Park, extending  Cronulla's lead beyond a converted try on the stroke of half-time.

With momentum behind them, the Sharks careered away to secure an impressive 40-20 victory ahead of a week one finals clash with the Storm in Melbourne.
