Sharks delighted to partner with Golden Bay Asian Restaurant

The Sharks are proud to announce an ownership stake in the neighbouring Golden Bay Asian Restaurant, combining an exceptional culinary experience with prime views of PointsBet Stadium.

Based in the new Woolooware Bay Central shopping centre, Golden Bay continues the Sharks' long association with outstanding Chinese restaurants.

As part of an exciting partnership between the club and restaurant, Sharks Football and Leagues Club Members, including our Sharks at Kareela Members, receive a 10% food-and-beverage discount at Golden Bay. All you need to do is present your Sharks membership card to receive the discount* (T&Cs apply).

Blending time-honoured recipes with modern Asian techniques to create delicious signature and seasonal dishes, Golden Bay has garnered rave reviews since opening its doors in May. The expert chefs offer traditional yum cha from 11am-3pm, à la carte dishes in the evening and fresh produce from live seafood tanks.

Proprietors Michael and Karen Chau also owned the popular Sha-Kee restaurant within the adjacent Sharks Leagues Club prior to the site's redevelopment in late 2019.

Michael has over 20 years' hospitality experience and a strong local connection, having grown up in southern Sydney and lived in the Shire for more than a decade.

"Michael and Karen understood the importance of a top-quality Chinese restaurant in the Woolooware Bay town centre to support the redeveloped Leagues Club and serve our valued Members," Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta said.

"They ensured they had an agreed space very early in the development process. While we eagerly look to move forward with the construction of the new Club, Golden Bay is a major drawcard for the precinct and a unique offering for all in the Shire.

"As such, we're delighted to share we have an ownership in the restaurant. Whether you’re enhancing your game-day experience by dining on the ambient deck, enjoying a corporate or family event or simply craving a succulent meal, Golden Bay caters for everyone with five-star service, culinary artistry and cultural richness."

The Sharks' investment in Golden Bay further strengthens an asset portfolio which also includes the former Westpac Bank building at 94 Cronulla Street (now leased long-term by Rileys Gym), the Sharks at Kareela club, PointsBet Stadium and the Sharks Leagues Club at Woolooware, due to reopen in 2025.

Golden Bay is open from Tuesday to Sunday, with a lunch from 11am-3pm and dinner session from 5pm-11pm. CLICK HERE to learn more or book.
