Sharks coach Tony Herman is backing his troops to bounce back in Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with the Broncos, making just one change for the Round 8 match on the Gold Coast.

Cronulla still sit two points clear in first place despite a 40-0 loss to the Roosters, having won six consecutive matches to start the season.

Nakia Davis-Welsh, a staple on the wing from Round 3 onwards, is set to reclaim her place at the expense of Olympian Dominique du Toit after a week off.

Herman has kept the faith in his team, with a win over third-placed Brisbane at Cbus Super Stadium to leave them on top in the race for the minor premiership.

Kick-off is at 12pm with coverage on Nine, Nine Now, Foxtel and Kayo.
