Great Whites honoured in Old Boys Round celebrations

More than 150 Great White Sharks, including former players, coaches and officials from all eras dating back to 1967, were proudly honoured by the club during ‘Old Boys’ Round last week. The group was welcomed to the NRL captain’s run training session on Friday, inspiring the current generation of Sharks with words of wisdom. They convened for an official reunion at Woolooware Golf Club on Saturday afternoon, reliving cherished memories and swapping legendary stories from their heyday. To cap off the celebrations, the Great Whites took to the field for a lap of honour before the NRL clash with the Warriors and received a warm reception from appreciative fans. Functions were also held during the week to mark the 30-year anniversary of Cronulla’s 1994 under 21s and reserve grade premierships. Sharks Media was on hand to capture some of the Great White celebrations – watch the video above.
