Jets Team List - Round 26

A last-start loss to the Dragons dented Newtown's chances of claiming the NSW Cup minor premiership, but they're not without a hope heading into Saturday's final-round clash with the Warriors.

The Jets can realistically finish no lower than fourth, however they'll earn a crucial second bite at the cherry in the playoffs if they can snag a top-two spot.

For that to happen they'll need to defeat the fourth-placed Warriors and hope either the ladder-leading Raiders and second-placed Bears lose. If both heavyweights happen to go down and Newtown are triumphant, they will sit atop the table.

The Warriors, who are level with the Jets on 33 competition points but have an inferior differential, certainly won't be easybeats. The New Zealand team are coming off a 42-10 demolition of the Bulldogs and pipped Newtown 28-24 in Round 1.

But with the home-ground advantage at Henson Park this time around, Newtown will be confident of turning the tables and finishing the regular season on a high.

Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm, with a live stream on NSWRL TV.
