Jersey Flegg Team List - Round 25

Following a 62-2 thumping of the Kaiviti Silktails, the win coming on the back of 50-point hauls in their three matches prior to that, the Jersey Flegg Sharks will look to continue a late charge towards a finals berth when they play the St George Illawarra Dragons on Saturday.

The young Sharks were relentless on Sunday, storming out to a 44-0 lead against the Fijian team at the half time break, before going on with the job in the second half, the win seeing them move up to sixth position on the Flegg ladder with two games in the season remaining.

With only five teams qualifying for the Flegg finals, the Sharks will need wins from their remaining matches, starting with the local derby match against the Dragons at Collegians Stadium this weekend.

Making the Sharks form all the more impressive has been the long injury toll being experienced both amongst the under-21 squad, as well as in the NSW Cup and NRL above with various players called up to the higher grades over recent weeks.

This weekend the Sharks face a ninth placed Dragons outfit which was effectively eliminated from the playoff race following a 26-12 loss to the Raiders in their most recent match.

The Sharks and Dragons have met once previously this season, the Cronulla side winning 22-16 in their round nine clash.

See below the two team lists for the game which is scheduled for an 11.15am kick off on Saturday at the Collegians Sporting Complex, Wollongong.
