Clean sweep caps off Members Round celebrations
The Sharks proudly delivered on and off the field in Members Round on Sunday, with three thrilling victories from as many matches the icing on the cake at a pumping PointsBet Stadium.
The dedicated round, this year coinciding with blockbuster NRLW and NRL matches against the Knights, provided a chance to thank, reward and celebrate the club-record 16,561 passionate Members who joined the hunt in 2024.
After hosting more than 300 excited Members at the NRL and NRLW captain's run training sessions on Saturday, allowing plenty of time for autographs and photos with the players, the insider-only experiences continued on game day.
The festivities began on a high note when Cronulla's Jersey Flegg (under 21s) men's team recorded a curtain-raising 62-2 win over Fiji's Kaiviti Silktails.
Among an array of exclusive Member opportunities, fans watched the NRL and NRLW teams warm up from the sideline, juniors ran out of the tunnel with the players prior to kick-off and other loyal supporters formed a guard of honour.
Valued Members were also selected to activate the 'Shark Alarm' ahead of the games against Newcastle, conduct the coin toss and deliver the match balls, while prizes given away via the Aramex Special Delivery and Madimack Hotseat.
The senior Sharks teams certainly rose to the occasion, a 14-12 NRLW win over the two-time defending premiers keeping the women unbeaten and on top of the ladder. The NRL side followed suit with an exhilarating 19-18 golden point triumph.
Rounding out a tremendous day, kids were welcomed onto the field after full-time to kick balls and live out fantasies of playing at the top level on PointsBet Stadium.
