Unable to convert a bright start into a win last round, Cronulla's Harvey Norman Women's Premiership side hope to bounce back immediately against Mounties at Aubrey Keech Reserve on Saturday.

Having kicked off on a winning note against Wests Tigers, the Sharks (seventh) suffered a 38-10 loss to the Magpies at home on Sunday after leading 6-0.

Five-eighth Luisa Yaranamua was a strong performer for Cronulla, threatening the defence with her running game and scoring a late try at PointsBet Stadium.

Mounties are in a similar boat, claiming a four-point victory in Round 1 before being dismantled 40-4 by the Knights on the weekend to slide to ninth position.
