While their winning run was ended by the Panthers last week, the Jersey Flegg Sharks will lock horns with a Roosters side they beat only three rounds ago on Saturday.

The under-21s clash at Wentworth Park is scheduled to kick off at 10.45am as a curtain raiser to the Jets-Roosters Knock-On Effect NSW Cup fixture.

Cronulla followed up their 18-10 victory over the Tricolours in Round 14 with a 34-20 dismantling of the Storm to secure back-to-back wins for the first time this year. However, their momentum was stalled by a last-start 38-18 defeat to the Panthers.

Five-eighth Taj Ford bagged a double and barnstorming prop Felix Faatili also scored, but the Sharks were left to rue their first half. After the sin-binning of Nikora Williams, they went into the break trailing 20-6 and never recovered.

The Sharks are in 12th place, still with a game to be rescheduled due to a washout earlier in the year, while the Roosters are three competition points ahead in seventh.

The last meeting between the sides was a dour affair at Henson Park, with Cronulla leading 16-4 at halftime before adding a penalty goal to hold off the Roosters.
