A long-time Sharks member, physical disability rugby league player and junior league volunteer with the Bosco Bulldogs, Jack Bryant was caught by surprise recently as a couple of familiar faces dropped by to help celebrate his 18th birthday.

Currently going through an intense rehabilitation program following five weeks in hospital and after undergoing four major surgeries, including a spinal fusion and laminectomy which requires him to wear a brace for up to 12 weeks as he recovers, Sharks NRL stars Blayke Brailey and Tom Hazelton brightened up Jack’s birthday in visiting his Engadine home.

In a ‘Heartfelt moment’, the pair was joined by Sharks Have Heart team member Jess Macartney in delivering a cake and balloons, along with a 2023 Sharks signed jersey as organised by family friend Louise and mum Melissa.

Jack and his family are regulars in the lower ET Stand in supporting the Sharks at PointsBet Stadium games.

The boys taking the time to visit Jack was another ‘Heartfelt Moment’, arranged in an effort to lift the spirits of those within the community facing adversity including individuals in aged care or who are in hospital or have recently required medical treatment.
