Shark Tank event highlights volunteer opportunities

Momentum is building, with the quarterly ‘Shark Tank’ events continuing to provide a significant benefit to sporting and community partners and to those who are considering volunteering.

Designed to allow sporting and community organisations an opportunity to highlight their programs to a network of volunteers, Shark Tank aims to link potential volunteers with the clubs and organisations best suited to their interests, skill set and experience, at an event offering the chance to learn more about volunteering from a panel of experts.

A Shark Tank was recently held at Pointsbet Stadium, attended by NRL star Ronaldo Mulitalo and Sharks Have Heart sporting and community partners who presented on the night, including Cronuula Sharks Water Polo, Gymea Community Aid and Information Centre and the Sutherland Hospital.

Mulitalo, recognised for his work in the community in being awarded the 2021 Ken Stephen Medal, the NRL’s highest community honour, spoke about his experiences volunteering and giving his time to organisations such as Stepping Stone House, while the partner organisations also outlined the various volunteer opportunities available.

Our partner organisations have the following volunteer vacancies available. For those interested in learning more, please contact [email protected]
