Madimack 'Power Players' - Round 20

The Sharks had all the running in the opening 15 minutes and looked like they were in for a big afternoon of their own when Nicho Hynes crashed his way over on the right edge with relative ease.

But from there it all fell apart as the Warriors piled on 38 unanswered points to claim victory.

Despite the result there was a handful of Sharks that did their best to swing momentum in front of a vocal Auckland crowd. We take a look at the Madimack 'Power Players' from the clash.

BRITON NIKORA

Briton Nikora always gives 110%, and Sunday afternoon against the Warriors was no different for the Sharks backrower.

Nikora finished the game with a match high 44 tackles, running for 94 metres with 41 of those post-contact, but it was his efforts late in the clash that really demonstrate his never say die attitude on the field.

Running a hard line Nikora hit a gap and muscled his way through the Warriors defence to score his eighth try of the season.

CAM MCINNES

Once again starting at lock, Cameron McInnes was in and around it all during his 50-minute stint against the Warriors.

Finishing the game with 42 tackles to go along with his 88 metres, McInnes tried his guts out all afternoon in attempting to get his side back into the contest.

SIONE KATOA

Busy with the ball on Sunday was Sharks winger Sione Katoa.

Despite things not going his sides way, Sione rolled up the sleeves and carried strongly for his 165 metres, with 13 tackle busts thrown in.

He broke the Warriors line and burst down the sideline, but was brought down by the Warriors fullback before help arrived.

JACK WILLIAMS

Off the bench came Jack Williams, who dug deep in his 47-minute stint in New Zealand.

The Sharks middle forward cracked through the 100 metre mark on his way to 118 run metres, and was all effort in defence making 32 tackles.
