Jets Team List - Round 19

Following a disappointing performance last weekend the Newton Jets will be aiming to bounce back to winning form when they play the Wests Magpies at Henson Park in a round 19 Knock On Effect NSW Cup match on Saturday.

After managing to string a handful of wins together, the Jets run came to an end at the hands of the Dragons, the 46-12 loss a reality check for a Newtown side which was vying for top spot on the competition table.

The Jets, currently second behind the Bulldogs, now get the chance to redeem themselves and continue their push for a Finals berth when they host a Magpies side sitting 11th on the ladder.

In changes to the Jets team, Mawene Hiroti has been named at fullback, 2022 NSW Cup player of the year Kayal Iro returns in the centres after missing the Dragons game due to injury, with hard working forward Jesse Colquhoun not named after receiving the call up to play in the NRL match on Thursday night.

Saturday’s game will be the first meeting between the two teams in 2023.

The Jets v Magpies clash, which will be proceeded by a Jersey Flegg match between the Sharks and Wests Tigers, is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick-off.

See below the Jets team list.
