A rib injury suffered by Sharks prop Braden Hamlin-Uele in the opening hit up of the game against the Dragons, will see him miss the clash with the Wests Tigers on Thursday night.
Hamlin-Uele battled on for 29 minutes in the big win over St George Illawarra, despite the painful blow in the opening exchanges, with Sharks medical staff hoping for quick return.
While Hamlin-Uele will be unavailable for the Sharks round 19 match, his recovery will be monitored ahead of a potential return over the next few weeks.
Toby Rudolf, who played his comeback match last Saturday for the Newtown Jets after 13 weeks out of action with a toe/foot injury, has been recalled to the Sharks starting line up in place of Hamlin-Uele.
In other Sharks injury news, Royce Hunt is progressing well in his recovery from a syndesmosis strain and like Hamlin-Uele, the aim is to have him available for selection in the coming weeks, while Daniel Atkinson remains sidelined with an injury to his AC shoulder joint.
Atkinson was injured after falling awkwardly at training around two weeks ago.
