As excitement builds with the kick off to the NRLW season fast approaching, the Sharks are proud to announce a new partnership with Tyrepower, with their branding to appear on the back of the NRLW jerseys and on game day signage throughout the 2023 season.
The Sharks squad have been hard at work in preparation for what will be the inaugural season in the NRLW, with this announcement adding another boost ahead of a massive round one fixture on July 23 at PointsBet Stadium.
A company which has grown to be the largest independent tyre retailer in Australasia, Tyrepower operates in all states and territories, with over 306 stores across Australia and New Zealand, with Henk van Diggele, General Manager, Tyrepower NSW, delighted to be partnering with the Sharks NRLW team and to having an involvement in what will be the first season in the elite level competition for the Cronulla club.
“Not only do you see some of the world’s best footballers in action, but you also realise the connection that the Cronulla Sharks Women’s Team have with the NSW community and supporting that, is very rewarding – we love being a part of it,” van Diggele said.
“As a company with strong links in communities across Australia and New Zealand, we have shared values with the Sharks, and we cannot wait to see what the year is going to bring.”
The Tyrepower logo will appear on the back of the Sharks jerseys throughout the 9-round home and away season, as well as during any Finals appearances, while digital signage is set to feature at PointsBet Stadium for the team’s four home games in 2023.
“Proudly Australian owned and operated since 1977, our Tyrepower Moto is ‘Let our family look after your family’,” van Diggele added.
“Our core values and aspirations align closely to those of the Sharks NRLW – our dealer network is passionate about their local communities, and we know how important this element is to the Sharks at all levels.”
In celebrating the sponsorship, Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta was thrilled to partner up with Tyrepower and looked forward to sharing in what is promising to be an exciting for the Sharks NRLW team.
“It is a significant year in the history of the Sharks, with the 2023 NRLW team our first to compete in the NRLW competition,” Mezzatesta said.
“And to have a reputable and trusted organisation such as Tyrepower supporting and backing our women, figuratively, and also literally with their branding featuring on the back of the jerseys, makes it even more special.”
The pre-season continues for the NRLW Sharks, with their first assignment a match against the Canberra Raiders at PointsBet Stadium on Sunday, July 23.
