While it seems the Sharks and Cowboys have barely had time to cool down from their round eight wins last weekend, the two teams are back in action tomorrow night in a round 9 showdown at PointsBet Stadium.

The teams come into the contest on the back of valuable victories, the Sharks over the Bulldogs at Accor, the Cowboys in a close fought encounter at home against the Knights, with both aiming to establish some momentum and to string a few wins together.

Despite the short turnaround, the Sharks were reporting no injuries coming from the Bulldogs match and with Dale Finucane still to serve one more game of a three match suspension and Toby Rudolf on the long term injured list, coach Craig Fitzgibbon has name an unchanged 17 for the Cowboys clash.

Prop Tom Hazelton has retained his place in the 17-man squad, where he is again joined on the interchange bench by Wade Graham, Royce Hunt and Jack Williams.

The Sharks v Cowboys match will also see the players competing for the inaugural Paul Green Medal, with the player adjudged the best on the night to receive an award honouring the former Cronulla and North Queensland player and 2015 Cowboys Premiership winning coach.

Thursday’s game is scheduled for a 7.50pm kick off, with the two 22-man squads listed below.

NOTE: with team lists announced a day later than is usual, the Sharks and Cowboys will trim their squads to 19 later tonight, 24-hours prior to the kick-off to tomorrow’s game.
