Late Mail - Sharks v Roosters

The Sharks are 1-17 with just one change to the run-on team as selected for their round seven clash with the Roosters at PointsBet Stadium tonight.

Named in jersey 16 and returning to the field after missing the Warriors game after suffering a concussion the week prior, Oregon Kaufusi has been elevated to the Sharks starting side for tonight's match, with Royce Hunt going back to the interchange bench.

Otherwise, the Sharks team is as named on Tuesday, with Wade Graham to return after serving a four-match suspension and rangy front rower Tom Hazelton selected to play his second NRL match.

A Goulburn product, Hazelton, who has earned his promotion the Sharks NRL squad after a series of strong performances for the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup, ironically made his top-grade debut and played his only NRL game to date against the same opponent in the Roosters in a round 12 match in 2022.

For the Roosters, fullback and captain James Tedesco returns after missing his teams last-start loss to the Melbourne Storm.

Tonight's game will feature two teams desperate to claim the competition points after up and down starts to their respective 2023 campaigns.

See below the two 17-man team list and 18th player concussion substitutions.
