As explained by both coaches, it wasn’t pretty, however the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership and Tarsha Sharks will be looking to build on two gutsy victories last weekend to keep their finals hopes alive.
The HNWP team toughed out a 14-10 win over the Rabbitohs, after the Tarsha Sharks had earlier scored a 20-10 triumph, with the Sharks women’s teams now moving onto crucial round six matches against Wentworthville and Parramatta respectively.
For the HNWP Sharks, who despite sitting in ninth position are only one with from fourth, they take on a Wentworthville team in seventh place with the result likely to determine the finals future of both teams.
In the Tarsha Gale, the Sharks are eighth, and like their senior counterparts, close enough if good enough with four games remaining, however the game against an Eels team two points in front of them on the ladder shapes as a must-win.
The HNWP Sharks v Wentworthville game is scheduled for a 2.00pm kickoff at Ringrose Park on Saturday, with the Tarsha match at New Era Stadium scheduled for a 10am start, also on Saturday.
