Wade Graham will miss four games after fronting a judiciary hearing at NRL headquarters tonight and failing to have his reckless tackle charge dismissed or downgraded.
Graham challenged the grade one reckless charge as handed down by the NRL’s match review panel for a hit on young Rabbitohs forward Davvy Moale in the 65th minute of the game.
However, following a lengthy hearing, a guilty decision was handed down by the judiciary panel.
The original charge Graham faced carried a three-week ban, with the potential downgrade the Sharks were seeking, either a Grade 2 or 3 careless high tackle, to have resulted in only a one or two week suspension.
Had he accepted the original charge Graham would have faced three games on the sideline.
The Sharks named a team earlier today without Graham in pre-empting a potential suspension.
Royce Hunt and Connor Tracey have been added to the interchange bench, with Jack Williams also ruled out and unavailable as he follows the concussion protocols.
