A serious injury might not allow young Isaac Polisi to play footy in 2023, but it didn’t stop him visiting PointsBet Stadium and meeting some of his NRL idols.
Just five and following his first season of junior league when he played for the Aquinas Colts in the under 6’s last year, Isaac broke his neck in a preschool accident and has been in a brace since August.
The family aren't sure when Isaac will be out of his neck brace or able to play again and attends monthly appointments to monitor his progress.
As a result of the injury and while he continues his recovery, Isaac will be unable to play for the Colt's this year however in a Sharks Have Heart, ‘Heartfelt Moment’ in supporting members and JRL players, Isaac was able to rub shoulders with the Sharks NRL squad earlier this week.
While he won’t have the opportunity to join his Colt’s team this season, Isaac was invited to be a part of the Sharks team, where he even managed to slip into the team poster photo, front and centre next to Sharks co-captains Wade Graham and Dale Finucane, before meeting an ex-Colt’s junior in Blayke Brailey and his favourite player Nicho Hynes.
He will have to grow into them, however Blayke also signed then gifted his boots to Isaac as a memento of his special afternoon at PointsBet.
Isaac, his mum, dad and sisters are all Sharks Members and will be in attendance at the opening game of the season when the Sharks play the Rabbitohs in round one.
