The Sharks have taken the early guilty plea on a charge levelled against Dale Finucane from their match with the Cowboys last Saturday night.
The match review committee charged Finucane with a grade 1 crusher tackle on Cowboys backrower Luciano Leilua in the extra time period of the match.
The charge attracted a penalty of $3,000 for an early guilty plea, or two matches had Finucane challenged at a judiciary hearing and been unsuccessful in having the charge dismissed.
With Finucane pleading guilty, he will be free to play in the Sharks sudden death Finals clash against Souths.
There were no other Sharks players charged by the match review from the Cowboys game.
As for their opponents this weekend in the Rabbitohs, prop Thomas Burgess was charged twice following a physical encounter against the Roosters, both times for careless high tackles.
The first incident, involving James Tedesco in the 18th minute attracted a grade two charge and a two match suspension for an early plea, the second on Matt Lodge just 60 seconds later a grade one offence and an $1800 fine.
Souths had yet to lodge a plea and decide whether to challenge either of the Burgess charges.
Rabbitohs winger Taane Milne was also charged with a careless high tackle but will escape with a fine and will be free to play this weekend.
The Sharks v Souths match has been confirmed for an 8pm kick off at Alliabz Stadium on Saturday night.
