Sharks show their ‘Heart’ with 2022 Charity jersey

The Sharks will wear a specially-designed Sharks Have Heart charity jersey in Saturday’s game against the Bulldogs in celebrating the contribution the club makes to community causes and initiatives.

The limited-edition Charity Jersey, featuring the names of those who supported and purchased the unique design, was an exciting initiative launched by Sharks Have Heart in 2021 and continues this year into the 2022 season.

All the proceeds of sales of the charity jersey go towards supporting Sharks Have Heart and the outstanding work they do in the community.

A number of activities have been planned to take place throughout the week, with the Sharks gaining its reputation as the ‘Community Club’ by utilising the profile of our players and the game of rugby league to create social impact and bring about meaningful change.

Our evidence-based signature programs support a healthy, inclusive, connected community and a thriving sports sector.

Our Heartfelt Moments aim to lift the spirits of those within our community who are facing adversity, while our From the Heart Program supports charities who are making a difference in the lives of our community’s most vulnerable members.

The Sharks Have Heart branding features on the charity jersey, alongside that of Sharks major partner Aramex who have gladly supported the concept in sharing the prime front positioning on the NRL playing strip.

While only those to pre-purchase and support the concept were able to access the unique Sharks Have Heart jerseys, with no retail stocks available, the match worn jerseys from the game against the Bulldogs will be auctioned.

The jerseys, including Andrew Fifita’s last home game at PointsBet Stadium, the number seven worn by Nicho Hynes, the Sharks nominee for the NRL’s Ken Stephen Community Medal, along with all other jerseys played in on the night, will be auctioned to the highest bidder, individually signed and presented in a special gift box.

Proceeds will again go to Sharks Have Heart in helping to continue and expand their reach and engagement in the community.

Keep an eye on our website over the coming days for all of the auction details and information on how to make a bid for a match-worn Sharks Have Heart Charity Jersey.

The auction will run from this Saturday, 27 August through until Thursday, 1 September.
