The Sharks will look to continue their push towards a top four, and potentially a top two finish, when they tackle a Bulldogs team which has shown signs of improvement since a mid-season coaching switch.
The Cronulla side continued their recent run of good form in scoring a dominant 40-6 win over the Sea Eagles last Saturday night and will be looking for a similar performance against another team in the Bulldogs who out of the running for a Finals berth in 2022.
In team news, the Sharks welcome Siosifa Talakai back into the team after two games on the sideline with a shoulder problem, the hard running centre taking over from Connor Tracey who wasn’t considered for selection after suffering his second concussion of the season in the win over Manly.
Lachie Miller has retained his place at fullback after an impressive outing last weekend, so too Matt Ikuvalu, the scorer of two tries against the Sea Eagles.
The forward pack takes on a similar look, Braden Hamlin-Uele and Royce Hunt are listed to start in the front row, while Teig Wilton has overcome the illness which kept him out of the Sea Eagles match and has been selected to return on the interchange bench.
The game also represents the last home ground appearance for Andrew Fifita following his announcement earlier today that he won’t go around again for the Sharks in 2023.
The Sharks v Bulldogs game, which sold out over a week ago, is scheduled to kick-off at 5.30pm at PointsBet Stadium on Saturday.
