Following scans on the knee injured in the Sharks win over the Tigers, it has been confirmed that Toby Rudolf has suffered a grade two medial ligament tear.
Rudolf limped from the field midway through the second half of the game played in Tamworth, with his recovery period expected to be around four weeks.
The injury comes as a blow to Rudolf who has been one of the Sharks most consistent performers throughout the 2022 season.
The loss of Rudolf was off-set somewhat by the successful return of Royce Hunt last Saturday after a week on the sidelines with a shoulder issue, with Andrew Fifita and Aiden Tolman, missing from the team to play the Tigers, both fit and available for selection for the Manly game this weekend.
In other injury news, Connor Tracey is feeling no ill-effects from the head knock suffered in the round 21 match with the Dragons and will come into contention for a return against the Sea Eagles, as will Matt Moylan who continues his recovery from a quadriceps problem.
Fullback Will Kennedy’s rehab from ankle surgery is also progressing to plan, with a potential return date of round 25 or week one of the Finals.
