A quadriceps issue has resulted in Matt Moylan being a late withdrawal from the Sharks team to play the Dragons in the local derby clash at PointsBet Stadium tonight.

Moylan reported tightness in his quad following yesterday's captain's run, with Sharks high performance and medical staff deciding not to risk the key playmaker with the big end of season games to come.

Braydon Trindall has been called into the team to face the Dragons, where he will partner Nicho Hynes in the halves.

Lachie Miller, originally 18th man for tonight's match, comes onto the interchange bench.

In other changes from the team that beat the Rabbitohs last weekend, Will Kennedy has been replaced at fullback by debutant Kade Dykes, while Royce Hunt is also unavailable due to a shoulder problem.

The Sharks v Dragons match, with the teams playing for the Monty Porter Cup, gets underway at 7.30pm.
