Late Mail - Sharks v Panthers

The Sharks will run out 1-17 for their clash with the Panthers at BlueBet Stadium later tonight.

With Siosifa Talakai returning after missing the win over the Cowboys last weekend, resulting in Connor Tracey shifting to the wing in place of the injured Sione Katoa, the Sharks have limited the changes ahead of a match with the ladder-leading Penrith side.

Currently in third position on the NRL table, a win for the Sharks would cement their position inside the top four, however both the coach and players expressed during th the week that the challenge will be a considerable one against a Panthers team which has lost just one game in 2022 and welcomes the return of their State of Origin players.

The Sharks come into the game on the back of a strong away win over another of the top four contenders in the Cowboys, while the Panthers minus seven of their stars, still managed a victory over the Wests Tigers at their most recent outing.

For the Sharks, with the team as per the one named on Tuesday, Braydon Trindall will be the 18th man/concussion substitution, with Aiden Tolman omitted from the 19 as selected last night.

The Sharks v Panthers match is scheduled for a 5.30pm kick-off, with the two teams listed below.
