Following on from a disappointing last start loss the Jersey Flegg Sharks will be aiming to rebound, however the challenge will be a considerable one against the competition-leading Roosters in a round 19 clash on Saturday.
The under-21 Sharks slumped to a 40-6 defeat at the hands of the Eels and while they maintained fourth position, with three teams just one point behind on the ladder, the pressure is on in the run home to the finals, starting with this week’s match up against a Rooster team six-points clear at the top of the table.
On a disappointing afternoon at Kellyville Park last weekend, the Flegg Sharks fell behind early, conceding three tries in the opening 15 minutes and they weren’t able to recover, the Eels going on to record a dominant win.
The Sharks and Roosters met earlier this year in a round nine match played at PointsBet Stadium, with the Roosters winning 26-14.
For this week’s round 19 match the Sharks are again on the road where they face the Roosters at Ringrose Park. Kick-off is at 11.00am on Saturday.
