The Sharks pair of Will Kennedy and Jesse Ramien have accepted the early guilty plea on high tackle charges stemming from the game against the Warriors on Sunday.
Both Kennedy and Ramien were charged with Grade 3 High Tackles, with the Sharks fullback sent from the field in the 17th minute of the match for his indiscretion, while Ramien was sin-binned for his second half collision with Warrior Euan Aitken.
As a first offence, Kennedy will miss two games, however with a prior incident against his name, Ramien is set to be sidelined for a three-week period.
The loss of the two Sharks outside backs will come as a blow to a Cronulla side looking to build on a gutsy win over the Warriors ahead of Sunday’s Magic Round match up with the Canberra Raiders this weekend.
In other match review charges, Toby Rudolf was also charged with a crusher tackle. He has accepted the penalty and has taken the early guilty plea, resulting in a $1500 fine.
The Sharks play the Raiders this weekend as a part of the NRL’s Magic Round, with their team list to be revealed at 4.00pm today.
