Jets Team List – Round 7

After five successive victories, the Newtown Jets came back down to earth last Friday when beaten by Souths in what was their first defeat of the 2022 season.

Feilding an inexperienced team due to issues surrounding the Sharks squad, the Jets began slowly and were outplayed by the Rabbitohs however in welcoming back a number of NRL contracted players the Jets will be looking to produce an improved performance this time around when they host the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles at Henson Park on Saturday.

In good news for the Jets, Jayden Berrell returns, the clever young hooker missing the last four weeks with an ankle problem, with winger Matt Ikuvalu also back on deck after suffering a similar injury.

Lochie Miller is in Newtown colours again this week after missing the loss to Souths, with the fullback-five eighth unavailable after travelling down to Melbourne as 18th man for Cronulla’s NRL team.

Miller has been one of the standouts for the Jets through the opening rounds of the 2022 season.

The Jets v Sea Eagles match is scheduled for a 3pm kick off at Beer, Food and Footy Festival Day at Henson Park. See below the Jets team list.
