Late Mail - Sharks v Storm

The Sharks will run out as named last night for the game against the Storm at AAMI Park later tonight.

As revealed when the team was trimmed back to 19, Sione Katoa and Briton Nikora will miss the match, Katoa due to a knee issue and Nikora after he tested positive for Covid.

Nikora is expected back on deck next week, with the seriousness of Katoa's knee injury yet to be fully determined.

For the game tonight the experienced Cam McInnes comes into the run on side in place of Nikora, with Mawene Hiroti replacing Katoa.

Otherwise the Sharks team will be the same as the one that beat the Wests Tigers last weekend.

Braydon Trindall becomes the utility option, joining Jack Williams, Aiden Tolman and Andrew Fifita on the Sharks interchange bench.

Similar to the Sharks, the Storm have this week had their Covid disruptions, with the Bromwich brothers Jesse and Kenny both ruled out.

The Sharks and Storm sit equal in second position on the NRL ladder, both with four wins from five games and with identical differentials of plus-65.

The game at AAMI Park is scheduled to get underway at 7.30pm.
