After a fourth consecutive victory, the Sharks head south to Melbourne for another test of their premiership credentials when they face one of the competition hotshots in the Storm.
The Sharks comfortably accounted for the Tigers last Sunday afternoon, that win coming on the back of an 18-0 victory over the Knights the previous week, however the challenge steps up a notch, with the Storm in Melbourne arguably the most challenging road trip on the NRL schedule.
Like the Sharks the Storm have also begun their season strongly, four wins from their opening five matches, including a last start 30-16 victory over Raiders, the only team to beat the Sharks in 2022, will have them ready for the Cronulla side for the match scheduled for a 7.30pm kickoff on Saturday night.
In Sharks team news, coach Craig Fitzgibbon has retained the run-on side which defeated the Tigers, with the only change to his bench being the return of Aiden Tolman, with the 300-gamer missing last Sunday’s game due to Covid.
Tolman joins Jack Williams, Andrew Fifita and Cam McInnes on the Sharks interchange bench.
Braydon Trindall is 18th man, with Royce Hunt, who played a part in win over the Wests Tigers, named on an extended reserves list.
The Sharks will head to Melbourne on Friday ahead of Saturday’s game.
