The Member’s Christmas party held on Saturday at Pointsbet Stadium was a hit amongst the Members, with NRL player autographs, face painting, jumping castles, a petting zoo and an array of food and activity stations run by 2022 sponsors, making for a fun-filled afternoon.
The opportunity to meet the returning players, along with newcomers Cameron McInnes, Dale Finucane and Nicho Hynes, was a highlight for those in attendance.
“It’s good to see the player’s firsthand, it’s great,” member Nathan Mitchell said. “We have been looking forward to meeting Nicho Hynes and some of the new guys as well. Dale Finucane is going to help the team so much. We are pumped. It is going to be a great year.”
The Sharks return to PointsBet Stadium in the New Year, has fuelled excitement among members and has many eager for the season ahead.
“It’s good to be back home,” said Mark Ryan, a member of 25 years.
“It’s fantastic to be back at PointsBet Stadium, back in the local area,” another fan added. “We’re very excited.”
New coach Craig Fitzgibbon and superstar signings, have some members confident that the Cronulla Sharks will be strong contenders in the 2022 competition, with a Premiership title not out of reach.
“I’m looking forward to the new guys and what they are going to bring,” a member of 15 years stated. “Cam McInnes, I think, is killing it on the training paddock so we are all looking forward to what he’s going to offer.”
“We are pumped. We think this is going to be the year. Top four for sure!” another said.
Lifelong fan Julian encapsulated the sentiment among the members on the day.

The Members Christmas Party was attended by almost 2,000, with the activations on the day conducted by major partners Aramex, Zambrero, Southern Comfort, Ace Gutters, along with training equipment supplier Hart Sports.
