The NSWRL this week released the 2021 season draw for the NSW Cup, this year with a new naming rights partner in the Knock-On Effect.
The season for the Newtown Jets, the Sharks partner club in the NSW Cup competition, begins with a game against the St George Illawarra Dragons as a curtain-raiser to the NRL game later in the night, they play the Knights at a yet to be determined venue in week two, while the first game at their spiritual home of Henson Park is in round six, again against the Newcastle side.
Following strong trial form and with the addition of a number of Sharks NRL squad members, the Jets, who are the defending NSW Cup champions having won the title in 2019 with the competition cancelled in 2020, will again be confident of a bold showing this season.
