Teig Wilton signed with the Cronulla Sharks when he was in Year 11 at a school in his hometown of Narooma.
Just four years later, he made his NRL debut.
Wilton has been a prodigy for some time now and has been a part of the NSWRL Pathways Program for the past few years.
Even before his NRL debut he has enjoyed three successful years. He captained the Sharks to a Jersey Flegg premiership in 2018 before being a part of the Newtown Jets team that won both the NSW Cup and State Championship in 2019.
2020, while a challenge for Wilton considering he only got to play a handful of games, proved to be the year he made his debut for the Sharks against the St George Illawarra Dragons where they won 28-24.
He played five games for the Sharks this year and got the opportunity to start against the Canberra Raiders in Round 20.
Wilton is also the nephew of Sharks coach John Morris.
2021 should be a big year for Wilton who will hopefully get the opportunity to show what he is made of in the NRL by regularly being a part of the first grade team.
