The Sharks will finish the season in eighth position and following a Parramatta Eels win over the Wests Tigers, will play the fifth-placed Canberra Raiders in week one of the NRL Finals.

After the Sharks went down to the Raiders, with Canberra potentially jumping into the top four courtesy of their win tonight, the Eels needed a victory to consolidate their spot in the top four, and after falling behind the Tigers in the second half of their match, managed a late comeback and a narrow two-point win.

The Sharks will now travel to Canberra for a sudden-death finals match against the Raiders, with a day and kick off time likely to be determined in the next 24-hours.

With the win the Eels finish third and take on the Storm, the first-placed Panthers will play the Roosters, while Souths and Newcastle come together in the other elimination finals match.

The Sharks v Raiders game has been confirmed for Saturday at GIO Stadium, kicking off at 5.40pm.

The Sharks will communicate ticketing details when they become available.
