A third win from has many starts has the Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership Sharks sitting level in first place on the competition table and high on confidence heading into their round five fixture this weekend against the Wests Tigers.
In cold and slippery conditions last Saturday the Sharks managed a 16-0 win over Souths, a victory built on a strong defensive effort, however they will be looking to take their game up another level when they meet the third placed Tigers in a match to be played at Campbelltown Stadium.
The Sharks scored two tries either side of half time in the Souths win, goal kicking preventing the final margin from blowing out further, however rather than getting carried away with their start to the season Coach Glenn Brailey was looking for further improvement from his team, beginning with the Tigers game on Saturday.
Representative outside back Tiana Penitani is again unavailable through injury, however youngster Jamie Chapman did a solid job last week in deputising at fullback, with Jamie-Anne Wright playing strongly in the centres.
