The Sharks are set to field a sixth debutant in 2019 with 22-year-old Billy Magoulias to play his first game in the NRL.
A lock/utility player, Magoulias has come through the ranks at the Sharks, starting with Matthews Cup and progressing through the grades to where he has earned his NRL call up through persistence and hard work.
Magoulias joins five other players developed through the Sharks junior system who have debuted this season, including Bronson Xerri, Blayke Brailey, Ronaldo Mulitalo and Briton NIkora, with all to play alongside Magoulias in the game against the Cowboys tonight.
In other team news, the only change to the selected 17-man squad, involves Matt Prior moving into the starting side, with Braden Hamlin-Uele reverting to the interchange bench.
Otherwise the team is as selected, with Josh Dugan and Josh Morris returning after missing the game in Wellington last Friday night. Dugan will take the place of Matt Moylan at fullback, Morris goes into the centres, with Kurt Capewell shifting from the backline into the forward pack.
Jayson Bukuya and Sione Katoa drop out of the 19-man Sharks side as named last night.
The Sharks v Cowboys match, with the first on the NRL's Beanies For Brain Cancer round, is scheduled to kick off at 7.50pm.
