After slipping outside the top eight as a result of a last start loss to the Warriors, the Jets face a crucial round 19 clash with the Bulldogs at Henson Park on Saturday.
Fielding a team which was feeling the effects of the injury woes surrounding the Sharks NRL side, an inexperienced Newtown outfit couldn’t hold off a second half onslaught from the Warriors in losing for a second consecutive week.
This week on Newtown’s biggest game day of the year with the annual Beer, Wine and Food Festival taking place at Henson Park, the Jets will be hoping a large crowd can lift their team to a much-needed win.
The match up with the Bulldogs will be second time in four weeks the two teams have met, with the Jets going down by 40-28 at ANZ Stadium back in round 15.
The Jets v Bulldogs match is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick-off, with the Sharks and Bulldogs playing a round 19 Jersey Flegg match at 12.45pm as the curtain-raiser.
